First SoCal ILC To Unionize
APDSE so far has been the only Southern California Independent Living Center to unionize its front line service staff.
The only labor union formed exclusively by persons with disabilities to represent workers with all disabilities in their employment.
The only other ILC to organize in California is the Independent Living Resource Center of San Francisco, organized in 2006 by the OPEIU Local 3.
This website shall be fully compliant with the standards as enforced by the U.S. Justice Dept, with respect to Title II of the ADA, pertaining to the accessibility standards promulgated in incorporating the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG2.0) that were developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative through the World Wide Web Contortion that set the standards for the internet internationally. The four principles required pursuant to the WCAB2.0 include that the website shall be 1) Perceivable, 2) Understandable, 3) Operable, and 4) Robust.
